About
Welcome to El Horno Murcia, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Caravaca de la Cruz, Spain. Located at C. Mayor, 9, this restaurant is more than just a dining establishment; it is a delightful experience for food lovers. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on this vibrant locale that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike.
El Horno Murcia stands out for its excellent fusion of flavors, offering a slightly contemporary Spanish-Asian twist that tantalizes the taste buds. The reviews speak volumes about its quality, notably the Atún Rojo and the ribs, which have become local favorites. Patrons like Leese Green commend not only the food but also the attentive service, which is accommodating even for those with limited Spanish skills.
The ambiance at El Horno Murcia is equally impressive. With a modern setting that features a cozy log burner, the restaurant provides an inviting atmosphere whether you're stopping by for a cup of coffee or indulging in a full meal. Bruce Scott noted the delightful combination of coffee and chocolate croissants, perfect for a relaxed morning or an afternoon treat.
For those seeking something unique, the menu includes surprising dishes like the provolone with Iberian secret and foie with mango ice cream, as highlighted by customer Ana P. This commitment to quality ingredients and innovative combinations ensures that every visit is a memorable one.
To top it all off, El Horno Murcia is also a pet-friendly establishment, welcoming well-behaved dogs inside, making it the perfect spot for those who love to dine with their furry companions. Whether you're indulging in a slice of scrumptious homemade cheesecake or savoring a perfectly brewed coffee, every bite at El Horno Murcia tells a story of passion and dedication to the culinary arts.
Overall, El Horno Murcia is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of flavors, creativity, and hospitality. For those in Caravaca or passing through, this is a destination you won't want to miss!
“ We live local in Caravaca so have visited this restaurant on a few occasions bringing guests here. A little more pricey than local restaurants but good quality food. Service is good, we speak very little Spanish, but there are waiters who help us by speaking a little in English and we get by. My favourite dish here is the Atún Rojo, the ribs are also amazing. Lovely modern setting, great food, good service. ”
“ Very good restaurant with excellent food and service. ”
“ Dropped in for a coffee and croissants. Very cosy with the log burner. Coffee and chocolate croissants were very good. ”
“ Delicious, (slightly) Spanish-Asian fusion style food. Some surprising flavours, and excellent quality ingredients. Make sure to try the provolone with Iberian secret, and the foie with mango ice cream. ”
“ Great coffee and delicious homemade cheesecake, well behaved dogs also accepted inside. The coffee machine is a work of art. ”
“ I ate here many times during my stay and have mixed feelings. The cafe is really good and the 4 stars are for that. Their burgers are huge, cheap and delicious. I paid €11 for a burger with fries and coffee. The toasts with salmon and avocado are good too! The restaurant on the other hand was a big disappointment. I paid €10 for something that was supposed to be ceviche but was in fact two pieces of lettuce with some tiny finish thrown in there in a big bowl of ice. The patatas bravas are good but €10 is a lot. ”
“ Amazing place! Very nicely decorated + great friendly staff + delicious food.... what else? A must! ”
“ The best burger I have ever eaten. So tasty that after we paid the bill we immediately made a reservation for the next day. My whole family had the burgers and enjoyed every bite — they were amazing! Lovely atmosphere and such friendly waiters! Would definitely recommend and come again! ”
